I love my igoogle page. embarrassed to say that I had no idea it could be so personally helpful–calendar, rss feeds, personal bookmarks. I subscribed to lots of blogs on my igoogle reader–again, amazed at one easy way for continuing professional development…worry that I may not even have time to go back to check these blogs…ten seems way too ambitious…summer is one thing, but a fast and furious school year is another!

thing 3
So I am struggling to keep all the usernames and passwords straight. I have a notebook, but there must be a better system! I went to CUSD Tech Boot Camp today–using Google in the classroom. Wow. That’s just about all I can say. Wow. I see lots of applications for upper grade, middle school, older–I think it takes more ingenuity to apply to first grade. And Brian said my Promethean Board was wasted for first grade! Now I have to prove him wrong. And I now have a gmail acct, igoogle home page, have an rss feed to my homepage…my brain is going to susplode!

thing 2
Ok. So I created a blog. Ok. So I created a twitter account. Ok. So I have made 3 entries on the same day. So what? How can this be applicable to first grade? If web2.0 is all about connection, a blog is a great way for students to reflect, document, share growth, science fair logs, for teacher and fellow edusplorers.

Andrew is on day 2 of his John Muir journey. I begin day 1 of my own journey. Suddenly shy and wordless.
